Nussy, artist with roots from Mallnitz
Born in Mallnitz in Carinzia, a Region of the Austrian Alps, Nussy is the daughter of the Photographer Reinhart Hebein and niece of the Painter Friedel Hebein.
After her Arts High School Diploma (Advanced GCE) she first moved to Vienna, where she could study past masters, then to the Frankfurt of the cultural revolution of 1968. The latter influenced her style and encouraged her to break with traditions, to become a fully fledged, modern Impressionist. It is in the Hamburg of the seventies, however, where she emancipated the Central European “penombras” and introduced an explosion of light into her oil paintings. Her extensive personal Exhibitions earned her the “I Guelfi” prize and opened the road, after a further two years in Vienna, to the Eternal City of Rome, in the eighties.
