e5 - energieeffiziente Gemeinde seit 1. Jänner 2009
Das e5 Landesprogramm für energieeffiziente Gemeinden basiert auf einem europaweiten Programm zur Qualifizierung und Auszeichnung von Gemeinden im Umweltschutzbereich. Es soll die Gemeinden bei ihren Bemühungen zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz unterstützen.
Pro Musica Mallnitz - Konzertprogramm Sommer 2010
Pro Musica Mallnitz freuet sich, das Programm für den Konzertsommer 2010 in Mallnitz vorstellen zu dürfen. Der musikalische Jahresregent Robert Schumann findet darin natürlich besondere Berücksichtigung.
Es setzt sich aus Solistenkonzerten, in erster Line jedoch wieder aus kammermusikalischen Abenden zusammen.
Hiking bus
Based on the initiative of the tourism association and with the support of the Mallnitz community, a regular bus for hikers will be introduced as of 30 June.
Using a synchronised timetable, the bus will visit all 3 valleys around Mallnitz.
Treat your car to a vacation and use the Mallnitz bus for hikers instead.
Alpine Pearls Mallnitz - New since 1 January 2009
Pearls of the Alps
This term refers to the union of 21 vacation destinations in five alpine countries which are all committed to sustainable tourism.
All these vacation destinations urge their visitors to consider "gentle mobility", starting with the arrival: The "Alpine Pearls" tourist destinations are accessible by bus or train.
If you wish to use the gentle mobility benefits of Alpine Pearls, you have the option of leaving your car keys at home for the duration of the holiday and to use all the benefits of the mobility card (free hiking bus, ranger guided national park tours, use of the tennis courts and much more).
Mallnitz becomes a pearl
In Carinthia, Mallnitz is the first community that joins the "Alpine Pearls" association. The goal is a model for environment-friendly mobility.
Hohe Tauern national park is part of "Europe's 20 natural wonders"
The latest edition of "GEO Season", travel insert for the renowned nature and outdoor magazine "GEO", lists the Hohe Tauern national park region in Carinthia as one of the "20 natural wonders in Europe".
4. Carinthian lammergeier release
Two young lammergeiers will be reintroduced to the wild in the Mallnitz Seebachtal Valley within the scope of a major protection of species program for the 4th time after the years 2000, 2003 and 2006. With a wing span of up to three meters, lammergeiers are the largest type of bird in Europe!

7. Kärntner Nationalparkfest
Am 31. Juli findet in Mallnitz das 7. Kärntner Nationalparkfest statt!
Am letzten Samstag im Juli startet um 14 Uhr das traditionelle Kärntner Nationalparkfest in Mallnitz. Zu diesem Event werden wieder zahlreiche Besucher erwartet.
Für die musikalische Unterhaltung sorgen u.a. die Trachtenkapelle Mallnitz, das Bioh Trioh, die alten Mallnitzer und am Abend die Stimmungsband "Die Bären".
