National park hiking
Mallnitz is located at 1200 m above sea level in a high valley to the south of the alpine crest, nestled in the impressive mountains of Hohe Tauern national park. Approximately 10,000 hectares of nature around Mallnitz were placed under the special
protection of the national park. Guided nature hikes lead by specialists in the fields of
botany, fauna, water, culture and geology provide a
new understanding - "seeing with other eyes" so to speak.
