Winter in the Hohe Tauern National Park is certainly not just being thoroughly enjoyed on the ski slopes. The program extends to a variety of activities in the wintry environment.
How about cross-country skiing? Classic or skating? Both of which are available in Mallnitz. Silently you glide through beautiful winter landscapes with a sensational view of the surrounding mountains. Mallnitz offers both 25 km of classic cross-country trails and 25 km of skating trails.

Confirming the quality of the trails. The cross-country ski trails are popular with leisurely cross-country skiers as well as with sportier types.
Varied valleys
The cross-country ski trails are located in both the Seebachtal and Tauerntal Valleys and lead through the delightful winter wonderland of the Hohe Tauern National Park around Mallnitz. To ensure snowy delight at all times, the cross-country trail in the Tauerntal Valley is artificially covered by snow canons.
